Dennis Whitaker of Hawke McKeon & Sniscak, LLP & Pennsylvania Appellate Advocate Discusses Judicial Deference to Agency Statutory Interpretation at PBI Program

On November 9, 2017, Dennis Whitaker, partner at Hawke McKeon & Sniscak, LLP and co-founder of Pennsylvania Appellate Advocate, joined the Pennsylvania Bar Institute for its CLE program, “Legislative Update: For drafters and legislative counsel”. Mr. Whitaker was joined by the Hon. P. Kevin Brobson of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and by Daniel Schuckers. The panel discussed judicial deference to agency statutory interpretation in Pennsylvania and in the federal courts as well as the development of Pennsylvania administrative agency appeals.

In addition to Mr. Whitaker, the full day program included insight from legal experts on other important topics for Pennsylvania lawyers, including recent cases on statutory construction, removal from office, an update on uniform laws and ethics.
